International Dot Day is a global celebration of creativity, courage and collaboration. This initiative is held each year on September 15th, inspired by Peter H. Reynolds' book, "The Dot."
"The Dot" is the story of a teacher who challenges a doubting student to trust in her abilities to “make her mark”. What begins with a dot on a piece of paper becomes a breakthrough in confidence and courage. Everyone at SMP "Made Their Mark" by sharing their individuality to create the 9' Dot on display in the Gymnasium.
