Students have the opportunity to engage in dramatic arts workshops, as well as, audition and perform in an annual musical.

Forensics Team

The St. Mary’s Prep Forensics Team has begun this year for students in grades 6, 7, and 8.  Forensics is dedicated to improving public speaking skills which are needed in high school and college, as well as in future jobs and interviews.  Students practice interpretive readings and memorize various pieces of literature, such as poetry and famous speeches, and then perform recitations.

Our club meets on Thursdays for J.V. and on Fridays for our Varsity Team.  Our students encourage and support each other in striving toward improved eye contact, pronunciation, and expression.  At various times during the school year, our forensics members are called on to entertain classes (ex. Dr. Seuss Week) or to join competitions.  Our team is composed of very dedicated students with phenomenal team spirit!
